At Delhi World Public School, we commemorate national events and celebrate festivals of all religions to instill a strong sense of cultural pride and national identity.

From Independence Day to Karnataka Rajyotsava, from Diwali to Christmas, students experience the vibrant diversity of India. These celebrations help nurture responsible, culturally aware, and globally minded citizens.

THEMATIC ACTIVITIES

Every month, a dedicated theme week such as:

  • Science Week
  • Library Week
  • International Peace Week
  • Roald Dahl Week
  • Literary Week

is organized to encourage experiential learning beyond textbooks. These thematic engagements promote curiosity, research skills, creativity, and collaborative learning.

MUSIC AND DANCE

We provide structured training and facilities for students to explore self-expression through music and dance.

Students who wish to pursue singing, instrumental music, or formal dance training receive guided mentorship. They are encouraged to showcase their talents during the Annual School Performance and other cultural events.

ART AND CRAFT

Creativity is an integral part of a child’s development. Along with drawing and painting, students explore a wide range of crafts such as:

  • Handmade paper creation
  • Paper recycling
  • Cotton spinning
  • Weaving
  • Cultural craft techniques

These activities enhance fine motor skills, patience, and artistic expression.

VISUAL ART AND CLAY ART

In addition to drawing and painting, students are encouraged to explore clay art as a powerful medium of creativity.

Through clay modeling and clay picture creation, children develop imagination, hand coordination, and spatial awareness. Working with clay enhances sensory learning and allows students to transform ideas into tangible artistic expressions.

SPEAKING SKILLS

To nurture confident communicators, students are given monthly topics to prepare and present speeches.

These sessions are designed to strengthen:

  • Communication skills
  • Public speaking confidence

  • Critical thinking
  • Stage presence

The Speaking Skills program ensures students grow into articulate, expressive, and self-assured individuals.
